  • 5 star ratingGreat Rooms, Great Location A most welcome addition to the Orange scene. The Byng Street Hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of some of the city's best restaurants and shops. We had a suite in the original house - a cleverly
renovated and delightful, sunny room with a large lounge room, a welcoming gas /flamed fire for winter and a large, sunny private balcony. It was well worth the extra cost involved. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and he room was specious. Staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfasts served in a small dining room are top quality. A light supper delivered to the rooms are a nice touch. There is off street parking for each room . All in all, it was a delightful short break experience. More

5 star ratingHighly recommended We stayed in a suite in the modern wing. It was utterly delightful. So often modern buildings are bland boxes. This was funky, full of atmosphere and of a high standard. Everyone was very welcoming and attentive. Little touches added to the charm, such as a turn down pot of tea being delivered to our room; a lovely surprise. The only thing I would change is that the water wasn’t hot enough for a pre-bed bath. A shame as the bathroom is luxurious and the bath was very inviting. Overall though I highly recommend this hotel. One of the best we have stayed in (and we have high standards!).

  • 5 star ratingAt end of the day quality costs nothing I've long believed that at end of the day quality costs nothing, You can by a cheaper mobile than an i-Phone and a less expensive vacuum cleaner than a Dyson but at the end of the day after you have replaced their substitutes 2-3 times you may as well have gone with the quality version. After a wonderful weekend in Orange, I will be adding The Byng Street Boutique Hotel to that list.

From the moment we checked in the quality touches were evident: a warm professional welcome; our bags carried from the car to our rooms; an explanation of the features and options; a map of the local wineries (without us having to ask); recommendations for dinner; the turn-down tea and cake and a perfect breakfast with local produce. Sure all of that adds up but at the end of the day you can save a bit but not get anywhere near the same level of satisfaction. From my point of view while you pay a bit more for quality, at the end of the day it's a worthwhile investment

Thank you to the team we had a wonderful stay and we will recommend you to others.

5 star ratingFaultless This cosy boutique hotel located just behind the Main Street of Orange was a wonderful retreat on our recent visit to Orange. From probably the best bed we’ve slept in to lovely included breakfast and turn down treats and tea at night, the experience was faultless. The current global situation has made us open our eyes to our own backyard and this hotel was as good as any we have stayed in anywhere in the world. I post this with apprehension as I am selfish and know that the reputation of this venue will make it harder and harder to book in to in the future. We will definitely be back. More

  • 4 star ratingYou get what you pay for You get what you pay for and you definitely will pay to stay here. Having said that, if you can afford it or want to treat yourself, their attention to detail will make it worthwhile. From the heated floors in the bathroom to the sleepy time tea and snack each night to the complimentary juice and water in your fridge.

Be aware, you do need to advise in advance your preferred breakfast time, obviously due to limited capacity in their restaurant.

The service was generally friendly and helpful, although sometimes it felt a little tense or forced.

The breakfast menu is high quality, but limited. Limited is ok but for guests that are there for more than one night, maybe a daily special or rotating menu could be added. More

  • 5 star ratingFaultless What a fabulous asset for Orange. We stayed two nights on a gourmet long weekend. From arrival to departure Byng Street Boutique didn’t put a foot wrong. The welcome was warm and gracious, food and beverage excellent and served with a smile, rooms large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly.
