Natalie Miller

Natalie Miller is an internationally recognised textile artist known for her brightly coloured woven artworks.

Natalie lives and works from her studio at Kangaloon in the Southern Highlands of NSW. She is extraordinarily passionate about colour and her life has revolved around it, making her artwork the perfect addition to the Byng Street Boutique Hotel interiors.

Natalie explores and experiments with the palette when hand dyeing her wool and creating her brightly coloured artworks.

“I believe all colours work together and I’m not afraid to experiment,” she says.

Natalie hand-dyes all her wool and fabric from Australian grown and milled wool in natural dyes and Australian wool dyes.

With a lifetime career in design, architecture and textiles, she leads textile adventures throughout Asia and runs workshops and retreats in Australian and internationally.

We’re proud to exhibit one of her stunning works in our dining room, commissioned by our interior designer, Louise Spicer of One Four Interiors.

Larissa Blake

Larissa Blake is a visual artist based in Orange NSW, her work is inspired by the everyday and reinterprets traditional genres in a contemporary context.

Larissa has a way of creating emotion and intrigue with her colourful vibrant pieces. Between the array of colours, grand brush strokes, added textures and vibrancy her art and expression of creativity would bring, even the most bland of rooms to life.

There’s no need at the Byng Street Boutique Hotel where colour is our canvas.

Having Larissa’s work showcased in our hotel has added an extra element of individuality, personality and beauty which are visually represented through each individual piece she creates. Having these as an addition to the walls of the Byng Street Boutique Hotel has really added something unique and special to our wonderful hotel. Every time we walk past one of her pieces on our walls we can’t help but smile, and our guests do too.
