  • 5 star ratingThis is as good as it gets I travel a lot, on both business and pleasure, and I’ve had the privilege to stay at some of the world’s best hotels (and some of the not so good) and this place is up there with the best I’ve stayed in.

The rooms are outstanding, the greeting exceptionally warm and friendly, the food restaurant quality.

Come to beautiful Orange and enjoy the world class hospitality of Tom & Kristin More

5 star ratingImpeccable hotel With the relaxation of Covid 19 travel restrictions, we decided to take advantage of being able to drive around regional NSW. Orange is a great town and a nice drive from Sydney. The Byng Street Hotel is really well located. We stayed in Room 22 in the old part of the hotel. For people who find stairs difficult, they may prefer to stay in the new part of the hotel. But for us, this room was perfect. It was quiet and the bed was warm and comfortable. There were tea facilities in the room, plenty of storage and a spacious bathroom. There is allocated parking at the back of the hotel which is very handy. The breakfast in the dining room was relaxed, generous and delicious. It was all table service which was really nice. This is a family run hotel with a very warm and welcoming feeling to it. We would definitely stay here again.

  • 5 star ratingRomantic yet Practical Hotel in Heart of Orange We stayed for 4 nights in a suite and really enjoyed the well thought through design and service at Byng Street Boutique Hotel. It is a family business seeking to channel some international flair. Top notch decor throughout - but nothing sacrificed to beauty because the room spaces WORKED. Thoughtful small kitchenette/dressing room, huge TV with Netflix, great double bathroom, big hanging spaces, excellent lighting for bookworms plus sensible, yummy breakfast choices. The hotel's position in a suburban street meant the architecture of the new part of the hotel could not impinge on privacy of neighbours. Clearly the suite was designed to distract you from its shortcomings (only a high strip window in the bedroom) eg. the brilliant addition of a large skylight over the capacious bath. Anyhow the public areas are nearby all the rooms, if you happen to be hanging around in the daytime and need some ambiance by the gorgeous fireplaces on comfy lounges. If you do not care about a bath, rooms on the ground floor are generous sizes (smaller shower rooms and kitchenettes) but have full length windows on to a garden area and boundary fence, actually surprisingly attractive. Management anticipated everything, yet made you feel the experience of Orange could be tailored to ones interests, dietary requirements etc. Winery visits were the highlight of countryside jaunts but there is some serious restaurant action in Orange itself for the evenings, mostly walking distance from the... With the on-going COVID situation you need to prebook everything. But if you don't want to stay in and watch netflix, then a short but high quality meal menu and winelist was available for in-room dining. High recommended. More

  • 5 star ratingFantastic Stay in a wonderful place Having recently stayed here for a significant milestone with my partner, I wanted to pass on our experience. Our stay in the heritage wing of the hotel was nothing short of magnificent. Everything about the hotel was so welcoming - the luxurious detail of our room and the hotel, watching the world go by in front of a warm fireplace, the wonderful and warm hearted service from both hosts Kristen and Thomas and all their friendly staff, complete privacy when required, right down to the wonderful food and wine on offer. Even a simple request for a cheese plate after an afternoon of wine tasting was an amazing offering. The hotel is wonderfully placed in the heart of Orange, a wonderful modern town, with virtually everything in the town at walking distance. Byng st itself is full of amazing old heritage buildings that are worth investigating themselves. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone planning any type of getaway, be it an intimate weekend away or a larger event, with the hotel completely able to accommodate any request. We will certainly be back again very soon. More

5 star ratingBeautiful boutique hotel and very welcoming hoteliers We stayed for only one night because we visited Orange for on business trip. The only regret was not being able to stay longer.

Thomas and Kristen have done an amazing job renovating and extending the original building into the gorgeous boutique hotel that it is. A lot of thought and money and heart has gone into this.

You can tell they are passionate about what they do. The place is spotlessly clean and they make sure you are satisfied with everything during your stay.

Hope to be back soon and perhaps try one of the heritage suites next time

  • 5 star ratingOver night stay We stayed at this lovely boutique hotel between Xmas & New year. The rooms where spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, we stayed in the new section. We had a lovely cooked fresh breakfast in the heritage house which is all attached. Walking distance to restaurants & cafes. Loved the special touches like chamomile tea bags and hand made treats on the pillow, the team made us feel right at home, we will be back.

5 star ratingSo Much Better Than Expected This is the best hotel we have stayed in for a long time. We were on a 3 week road trip around NSW & VIC and this was our last night on the road. We decided to add an extra day & spend it in Orange.

This hotel is beyond belief! The service is impeccable - not intrusive at all but very helpful. The interiors are absolutely beautiful mixing the old & the new and the room was so thought out - in beauty and function. So much larger than I thought and also wonderfully decorated.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the Ferment Centre (via a gate), where we spent a couple of hours.

Breakfast the next morning was delicious. The biggest treat was that the chef actually greeted us. That has never happened. The chef is usually sweating behind the scenes. There was fruit, granola (homemade) and yoghurt set out to help yourself. And then there was a hot breakfast.

What a way to end our fabulous holiday!!!! We will definitely be back again. More

  • 5 star ratingAbsolutely stunning! The attention to detail in this place is second to none! From the art work to the in-room crockery, to the skylights above the baths nothing was missed and everything just flows together and the result is amazing. The use of local products for the menus is well thought out and delicious - especially the granola! Kristen and Thomas have created a beautiful space that is warm, welcoming and an ideal getaway location. With their knowledge of local wines, eateries and general history of the area is well worth hitting them for recommendations of where to go and what to see.
Absolutely would recommend this as your choice of hotel in Orange, looking forward to heading back hopefully sooner rather than later! More

5 star ratingHighly recommend While presented as a B&B it really a hybrid. This place is the perfect combination of both, as you have the beautiful historical building at the front that contains heritage suites and the dining room and then a contemporary wing at the back that contains modern hotel rooms. Located a block back from the Orange main street it is well located for access to restaurants and hotels. There is dedicated space for car parking for each room. A two course breakfast is included with homemade granola, fresh fruit and juice, as well as the cooked option. Each night a turn down service occurs complete with homemade biscuits and loose leaf tea with teapot and cups and saucers, it was such a personal touch. Most of all the bed was extremely comfortable and the room was totally sound proof with black out curtains.
