  • 5 star ratingWonderful We were so lucky to have booked this wonderful hotel for a two night stay. There is nothing I could fault, the rooms were lovely, the lounges very inviting, breakfast were excellent and the front desk were so helpful. The only negative was that we couldn’t stay longer.

5 star ratingOrange getaway. My partner and I stayed at this wonderful well located boutique hotel in beautiful Orange. Our 6 night stay was just what we needed. I the modern room we stayed in was spacious, well styled and very comfortable, perfect for a longer stay. The king size bed was supportive yet comfortable with quality bed linen. The bathroom was also spacious, well styled and practical. The hotel offers a friendly and professional service. It is beautifully styled with homewares, decor, paintings and common zones for hotel guests to relax and enjoy in. The mix of traditional and modern extensions are aesthetically pleasing. Each morning we were welcomed with a great start to our day with a delicious nd comprehensive breakfast. This hotel is a wonderful base to explore Orange and all it has to offer. It allowed us to enjoy the lovely local wine at various cellar doors and enjoy the many meals in Orange and surrounding villages. We will most definitely recommend staying at this well styled and luxurious hotel. Our experience here has left us with some wonderful memories. More

  • 5 star ratingBoutique stay Absolutely beautiful, everything about this hotel is perfect, the staff, breakfast, decor. On returning to your room late afternoon, a tray has been delivered with a delicious treat, tea pot, tea cups and tea a really lovely touch. We loved our stay here. One street over from the main shopping.

5 star ratingLuxury boutique experience The Byng St Hotel is a small boutique hotel that eloquently marries a heritage building with a modern extension. The rooms are large and include coffee/tea facilities and a sink. Little extras are included at no extra cost eg free wifi, delicious breakfasts, orange juice, fresh milk and water bottles restocked in the mini fridge and fragrant tea and sweets left on the bed in the evening. The staff couldn’t be more friendly or obliging. The hotel’s decor is tastefully colourful and artistic and exudes a happy, welcoming vibe. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely return here when next in Orange.

  • 5 star ratingElegance, Style and Colour With its stunning contemporary design in a heritage setting, this boutique hotel is a treat. It's a beautiful environment in which to relax and we were made to feel most welcome by Thomas, Kristen and their staff. Splashes of colour bring a lovely uplifting vibe and a calm, elegant space in which to relax. Enjoyed the contrast of the guest suite in the new section and the striking Beech Tree Suite. The perfect destination when you want to get away from it all in comfort.

  • 3 star ratingVery upmarket but missed the mark in a number of areas The hotel is welcoming and feels very boutique however there were simply too many flaws and I left feeling that it was not what I would expect from a luxury property. The positives 1. Comfortable bed 2. Lovely bathroom and amenities 3. Turn down with hand made treats and tea 4. The breakfast option of smoked trout was lovely The negatives 1. When checking in I was moved aside when a distinguished gentleman arrived and was greeted by name. The man was asked if he would like to check in now. He kindly pointed out that I was ahead of him and suggested they finish checking me in first. 2. When shown to our room the owner suggested we turn the aircon on to freshen the air, the room smelt of paint. We did so, but that night the smell was overpowering and concerning. When pointed out to the owner they did say sorry but claimed they had no idea the smell would reach the room and did not offer any compensation. 3. The breakfast option of French toast was dry, I left half the portion. 4. To watch TV you had to sit on the bed as there were no chairs. To see the TV from the bed you had to turn side on as it was beside the bed. It was difficult to watch. 5. At check out I was waiting my turn in line. Two older and... The positives
    1. Comfortable bed

    5. At check out I was waiting my turn in line. Two older and affluent couples arrived after me and the man walked ahead of me when it was my turn. The lady at check out observed the situation and proceeded to check them out ahead of me and had a nice chat to them. She offered no apology when she served me. I was left feeling that my business was not valued.
    6. The owner suggested we order their in-house option for dinner as we felt like a simple light meal. We had butter chicken with roti, the roti was completely dry and over cooked. We then shared an apple pie and ice cream. The pie was very basic, and not appetizing and the ice cream had ice chunks in it, they charged $15 for the pie.
All up I felt like I was of no value to their business. When I pointed out the faults they apologized but nothing more. I travel regularly for business and leisure and this is one venue I will not be returning to or recommending. More

5 star ratingAbsolutely fabulous, such an inviting space We stayed in the Beech Tree Suite and could not have asked for more. The room was beautifully appointed with high quality linen, pictures and homewares. The separate sitting area was welcome. The bathroom was beautiful with great amenities and we wanted for nothing. Each evening the turndown service came with a lovely tea tray, such a nice touch when we arrived back each night.
Breakfast was fabulous and served in the most elegantly restored dining room. It was a pleasure to be there and the friendly service made you feel very welcome.
Great environment elevated to excellent by the little touches and engaging staff.
We will definitely be back. More

  • 5 star ratingThe Perfect Weekend Away What a stunning hotel! We were welcomed on arrival by Kristen one of the owners who gave us a little history & tour of the hotel, our room was spacious, decorated superbly and wow what a bathroom! We enjoyed a hot breakfast each morning which was organized extremely well taking into account social distancing practices, after a day of experiencing the local area we retired to our room to enjoy a cup of tea and a delicious sweet treat part of the turn down service the hotel offers. Thanks Kristen and Thomas For your hospitality we enjoyed our stay at the Byng Street hotel And will definitely be back soon.

5 star ratingAbsolutely Incredible!! An amazing stay at Byng Street Hotel. Hosts Kristen and Thomas are exceptionally personable and fantastic hosts! They’re happy to help with local hints and tips with everything from fashion, food and wineries. Rooms are immaculate - luxurious, spacious and exceptionally comfortable. Get a room with a bath if you can - it’s well worth it! Every detail has been thought through to ensure guests have a luxury experience - bath salts, tea, nightly turn down treats, parking etc. Interior design is sensational - great nooks and crannies within this historical gem. Breakfast is exceptional - the quality of the food (locally sourced) and service was outstanding. Couldn’t ask for more - 10 out of 10. Loved it and will be back. What a gem! More
