Beautiful boutique hotel and very welcoming hoteliers We stayed for only one night because we visited Orange for on business trip. The only regret was not being able to stay longer.
Thomas and Kristen have done an amazing job renovating and extending the original building into the gorgeous boutique hotel that it is. A lot of thought and money and heart has gone into this.
You can tell they are passionate about what they do. The place is spotlessly clean and they make sure you are satisfied with everything during your stay.
Hope to be back soon and perhaps try one of the heritage suites next time
Over night stay We stayed at this lovely boutique hotel between Xmas & New year. The rooms where spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, we stayed in the new section. We had a lovely cooked fresh breakfast in the heritage house which is all attached. Walking distance to restaurants & cafes. Loved the special touches like chamomile tea bags and hand made treats on the pillow, the team made us feel right at home, we will be back.
So Much Better Than Expected This is the best hotel we have stayed in for a long time. We were on a 3 week road trip around NSW & VIC and this was our last night on the road. We decided to add an extra day & spend it in Orange.
This hotel is beyond belief! The service is impeccable - not intrusive at all but very helpful. The interiors are absolutely beautiful mixing the old & the new and the room was so thought out - in beauty and function. So much larger than I thought and also wonderfully decorated.
The hotel is conveniently located next to the Ferment Centre (via a gate), where we spent a couple of hours.
Breakfast the next morning was delicious. The biggest treat was that the chef actually greeted us. That has never happened. The chef is usually sweating behind the scenes. There was fruit, granola (homemade) and yoghurt set out to help yourself. And then there was a hot breakfast.
What a way to end our fabulous holiday!!!! We will definitely be back again. More
Absolutely stunning! The attention to detail in this place is second to none! From the art work to the in-room crockery, to the skylights above the baths nothing was missed and everything just flows together and the result is amazing. The use of local products for the menus is well thought out and delicious - especially the granola! Kristen and Thomas have created a beautiful space that is warm, welcoming and an ideal getaway location. With their knowledge of local wines, eateries and general history of the area is well worth hitting them for recommendations of where to go and what to see.
Absolutely would recommend this as your choice of hotel in Orange, looking forward to heading back hopefully sooner rather than later! More
Highly recommend While presented as a B&B it really a hybrid. This place is the perfect combination of both, as you have the beautiful historical building at the front that contains heritage suites and the dining room and then a contemporary wing at the back that contains modern hotel rooms. Located a block back from the Orange main street it is well located for access to restaurants and hotels. There is dedicated space for car parking for each room. A two course breakfast is included with homemade granola, fresh fruit and juice, as well as the cooked option. Each night a turn down service occurs complete with homemade biscuits and loose leaf tea with teapot and cups and saucers, it was such a personal touch. Most of all the bed was extremely comfortable and the room was totally sound proof with black out curtains.
Gorgeous stay with an explosion of colours! My friends and I have been itching to visit the hotel since it opened! We were so thrilled we finally found a weekend we were all free to visit this amazing gem in Orange.
I can definitely vouch for my friends and I, we were absolutely speechless walking into the hotel. The incredible attention to detail, exquisite choice of furnishing and the explosion of colour!
Tom and Kristen have put so much love into this gem and can only speak volume of their team with their passion and drive. We were fortunate enough to meet Tina and chef Misha, who were so helpful and attentive. Breakfast is an absolute must, the granola and vanilla bean yoghurt is well worth the visit!
The guest bathroom near the kitchen is one of a kind, a definite peek inside even if you don’t need to go. It was definitely one of many highlights in the hotel.
The guest suite, fab fab fab!! Pillow top beds, cloud pillows.. turn down service with tea and homemade cookies. Fridge filled with local juice and water. That bathtub under the skyline! Absolutely blown away with all the amenities.
We definitely will be back!!
If I could give 6 stars I would.... Could not fault this place, absolute 5 star gem in a regional area.
I love B&B's and my partner doesn't. This place is the perfect combination of both, as you have the beautiful historical building at the front that contain heritage suites and the dining room and then an incredible contemporary add on at the back that contains modern hotel rooms of various types. The whole place is stunning. In a world of bland, beige hotel rooms the furnishings and decor really stood out, they were so bright and colourful, without being overpowering. The rooms and public spaces were spotlessly clean (helps that it is very new as well), the linen in the rooms was of excellent quality, fluffy thick towels, super white sheets, 3 ply tissues and toilet paper (I love this as so many 5 star hotels skimp on those disposable items). There is ample off street parking, a big open light bright lounge space with fireplace, and best of all, a side entrance to the wine bar next door specifically for hotel guests to use. It is 5 mins walk in to Orange main street so perfect for going out for dinner after a day of wine tasting!
The staff were incredible, the breakfast was really good, lots of choices of hot food for a small hotel. Homemade granola, fresh fruit and juice, homemade sweets as well as the cooked option.
Best of all, this hotel does turn down service which is distinctly lacking in Australian hotels nowadays. Each night a beautiful tray with homemade biscuits and loose leaf tea with teapot and cups and saucers were placed in the room; each night was a different delicacy, it was such a personal touch.
I booked online via a 3rd party site and the hotel contacted me directly by phone and email asking if I needed help with anything and providing further information on the rooms/facilities. We were attending a concert at a winery, and unprompted, they provided us information about the transport options/timings and location even though it had nothing to do with them personally. Such great service even before I had arrived!
I really could not speak highly enough of the whole experience of this hotel from start to finish, would not hesitate to stay again or recommend it to others.
A Rare Gem This hotel is a rare gem. It’s all you ever want in a hotel, but only occasionally ever find. The service was friendly and responsive, the a la carte breakfast (part of the tariff) was better than any local gourmet cafe breaky, the rooms were beautifully appointed and refreshingly different from the standard hotel impersonal decor, the turn-down service with herbal tea and a sweet treat was heavenly, we parked with ease, the grounds are beautifully designed and manicured, and the tariff is more than reasonable. In fact, instead of exploring the town, the hotel was so enticing that I spent the day at the hotel relaxing - and what an excellent choice I made! More
Amazing stay! What an amazing property! Everything in the property has been carefully thought out and planned.
Stayed in a guest suite which was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. Wish I had time to use the amazing bath tub!
Breakfast was amazing, a great selection of items on the menu and the home made granola was delicious! More
Perfect place to stay in Orange! We just spent two nights at this splendid new hotel. We took friends from New York here and we were all pleasantly surprised at all facets of the hotel.
The ambience is modern and comfortable with everything well well thought out in design from an unloading bay at the entrance to individual parking bays and an entrance straight into the building from the parking space. There is a pleasant open space for reading and gatherings with a fireplace which I can see would be pleasant on colder days.
The staff could not have done more to help us plan our ventures around Orange. As we had breakfast on our first morning our host helped me plan a walking tour and an afternoon winery and local tour. The hotel hotel is just a short walk from anything in town and several great restaurants are only a block away. Our host made reservations as soon as we arrived on a long weekend Monday!
The included breakfast was fresh and the cooked menu satisfied everyone. The chef was very accommodating. Coffee and tea were of the highest standard.
We will certainly return to Orange for long weekends and would not stay anywhere else. We recommend the Byng Street Boutique Hotel without reservation! More
